Yeah, so I suck at updates apparently. Oh well. Not much to report. Poker has been going very slowly. Hollywood Poker and the rest of the ongame network completely revamped the way they calculate points and bonuses. Basically there is no advantage to my playing there now, so I have switched over to pokerstars. It's going well, I'm sustaining a nice 6+bb/100 rate so far. The trouble is that I haven't been playing enough. I've started getting back to the gym regularly, for about 2 hours each morning, after which I pick up my kindergartener, make lunch, and then finally sit for an hour or 2. The games seem to be pretty juicy in the evening, but I'm wiped out by the time the night hits. I'll need to work out a schedule for it. In other news, I've ordered Wilson Turbo Poker http://www.wilsonsoftware.com/ I recently read the book Hunting Fish (yet to add it to the poker library list) and the author was talking about online poker vs 'real' poker. He mentioned that a good limit player with a bb/100 rate of 2 can make $30/hr multitabling 2/4 limit off of a bankroll of approximately $1200. I found that pretty exciting, and it's inspired me to try to learn limit again. In the past I've steered away from limit, partially due to boredom, and partially to an admitted lack of skill in the limit arena. Wilson poker is highly touted is the best poker training software available. Jim McManus, author of "Positively Fifth Street", credits Wilson Poker with his big money finish in the World Series of Poker. So it's on the way. I'll let you know how it goes. In other news, I've taken on a job for the summer. I'll be shovelling. Digging with a water and sewer crew in Alberta starting sometime in April. My friend Mike Holliday hooked me up, and I in turn hooked up Dustin and Sorge, so if nothing else it will be a nice adventure. I'm facing the same old battle of good at the game of poker, showing a consistent win rate, but no cheese to move up limits. This job will provide me with the chedda to do betta. That's all for now. Oh, and here's an uber cool parkour vid while we're at it.
If I had a million dollars....

I would make my dream of being a fast food franchise mogul come true. That's right...'Che's Burgers" would finally get off the ground. I would sell star shaped hamburgers with a communist revolutionary marketing theme. Great red banners with Che Guevara in silhouette eating a hamburger will surround a mall kiosk painted olive drab and barricaded with sandbags. Tight assed little teen girls in combat fatigues will slop the burgers to the hungry customers. I tell you, if I had a million dollars...there would be a burger revolution.

Tonight is the drawing in the Millionaire for Life lottery. Generally I don't go near any of this lottery garbage. As a semi-professional gambler, I don't like to get my money in unless I have the best of it. That is not the case in this lottery by any means, however at the prodding of my wife I bought a ticket. (I didn't buy a ticket while prodding my wife you sickos) So I could be mere hours away from winning a million dollars every year for the rest of my life, or at least until the US invades. I don't know what I'd do if I won. I don't think I could handle just hanging around and not working every day. Blahahahahahahaaaaaaaa yeah right!

Actual Poker Content/Neteller Warning

Ian@officialbetting review sent me this neteller warning, which I am a bit skeptical of.
"Warning #2 - NETeller
======================
We have received numerous reports of NON USA Players waiting on
checks from NETeller for more than 4 weeks.
We also have received reports from several operators stating
NETeller claims to have sent them wires, yet after 3 weeks wires
have not been received.
These same operators, also state that NETeller has ignored all
their requests for clarification as to the status and
whereabouts of their funds.
The facts along with NETellers action seem to indicate the end
is near for them.
We urge all our members to withdraw any funds held with NETeller
as soon as possible so as to avoid finding themselves in the
same boat as the people and businesses providing us these
reports."
I dug around the net to see if I could find any of the above mentioned reports on the poker forums. All that I could uncover were some non-US customers having trouble getting money out of their USD neteller accounts. Non-US customers with non-USD accounts seem to be having no trouble. Furthermore those with USD accounts seeing withdrawal delays have been able to get their money from neteller via cheques etc. The difficulty seems to be with wire and electronic transfers of USD specifically, and I'm guessing it's part of the War on Terror, since as we know most terrorists are +EV 14/4 rocks.
